I don't remember exactly when I started playing, I just remember getting on the baseball bus in High School, and making fun of the guys on the golfer bus. I think I actually started playing at the Duncan Elks Club about 50 years ago, and was a member there for 48 years.
My first set of golf clubs was Wilson K28's with a wooden persimmon driver, using Rebel golf balls that I bought at Gibson's discount in Duncan.
I joined the Senior Tour when Preston Jameson started it, I had just turned 50, the first tournament was at Walters, Ok. There were a lot of old guys creeping around as I remember, so I guess i have been a member for roughly off and on for 26 years. I guess i used to be good cause I have 4 wooden plaques for year ending awards in the age groups.
I play with Callaway irons old (X18 Model) had them lofted and lied and been playing them probably 25 years. My favorite golf course... probably the Arnold Palmer golf course in San Antonio, Tx. My favorite golf courses on this golf tour is Generations (Marlow, Ok.) of course, then i really enjoy Fort Sill Golf Club. My best score is a 68 at Marlow, on the last day of the season ending tournament, I told my playing partner (Johnny) they ain't gonna believe this LOL.
I have had 4 Hole in One's. #8 at Duncan Elks Club, #5 at Generations (Marlow) and 2 aces on the #16 par 3 at Generations also.
Other hobbies i have include a 70 Model VW convertible and. also an old 69 Chevelle SS, except of course an 8 year old Grand daughter, that I like taking up my time better than anything else.
